Key information for parents and carers of students entering Year 7 in 2026

Placement Packs

All year 6 2026 students transitioning into Year 7 2027 must complete the Department of Education Year 7 Placement Pack.

Placement Policy

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy  to ensure that students have access to their local school.

Government Primary Schools

Families with Year 6 students at Victorian Government Schools must complete the official Year 6-7 2027 Placement Pack.

IMPORTANT

Applications must be submitted to your child’s current primary school

Non Government Primary Schools

Families with year 6 students at Non-Government Schools may contact Kambrya College directly regarding a Year 6-7 Placement Pack.

The Year 6-7 2027 Placement Pack must be completed and submitted

A copy must be provided to your child’s current school

Statewide Timeline

  • All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Year 6 to 7 placement timeline.

  • The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government secondary school. Applications for Year 7 open at the start of Term 2.

  • Victorian government primary schools manage the Year 7 placement process for their Year 6 students in accordance with the timeline. At the start of Term 2, primary schools will distribute information packs to parents and carers.

Enrolment Restrictions: Enrolment Management Plans (EMIP):

Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our school are:

  • students who live within the school zone
  • students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
  • students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.

All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment.

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.
