It was so great to see so many parents turn out to witness the final ensemble concert for the year last Thursday night. With a little bit of Christmas thrown in there too, there was so much talent on display and audience members were treated to performances from all the college ensembles including Choir, Sax Quartet, Clarinet Ensemble, Drumline, Rock Band, Stage Band, Guitar Ensemble, Junior Band, Concert Band and soloist Suah Bae.

It was amazing to see the hard work paying off as students performed repertoire from Semester 2, demonstrating new skills and improved musicianship. They sounded so good and it was a proud moment for me as the head of music. I enjoy watching this amazing program grow and frankly, the standard was raised on Thursday night.

Congratulations to all the students for their amazing efforts and a huge thank you to the instrumental music teachers – Liz Violi, Damien Maughan, Alex Harding, Rachel Ferlazzo and Lachlan Barratt for their tireless commitment to achieving success for the students. They certainly make it about the kids.
